Welcome back to another year at Keene Elementary. The first day of school went very well. I am hopeful this is an indicator of the year to come. Thankfully the heat broke for us which helped make for a very comfortable environment.
After day #1, we have a total of 220 students enrolled at Keene to begin the 10/11 school year. We currently have 2 classes per grade level. The classes have plenty of room for new students which we are anticipating upon the completion of the new homes being built in Canal Lewisville.
Please be sure to check the Calendar of Events on our website. We will continue to add events to this site. One date that is not presently listed pertains to parents of sixth graders. Camp is coming very soon. Balances on the camp fees must be finalized by Friday, September 3rd.
We will continue to try and expand the use of our website over the course of the 10/11 school year. Primarily we will be working to improve communication to enable you to know what is happening in your child's class on a day to day basis. Don't hesitate to call our office if you have any questions.
